In total, 14 cases were reported as part of this outbreak and the last reported case became ill on Apr 20, 2011. The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), in collaboration with provincial/territorial partners, will continue to monitor for and investigate any new cases of E. coli that may be a part of this outbreak.

Health Canada is advising consumers to immediately discard the Pizza Playset and Fishing Game, two toys manufactured by Ningbo Ftz Zhengbao International Trading Co., Ltd in China. Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has revealed that these toys contain lead in excess of the allowable limit.
